Skills Lab Academy is an opportunity for emerging and established music leaders to expand their toolkit, stretch their skills, and meet fellow like-minded artists.
The course will cover a wide-range of topics relating to music-leading in community contexts, and touch on tailored, specialist approaches to working with a variety of different audiences. It will deep-dive into vocal leading with Osnat Schmool; using accessible music technology in SEN settings with Ben Sellers; and using repertoire as a starting point for creative music-making with Rosie Bergonzi.
The course is open to instrumentalists and vocalists aged 18+ of all musical genres, backgrounds and levels of experience. The course particularly suits those looking to build a career as a professional music workshop leader, or refresh existing skills as part of continuing professional development. We invite people to attend with open minds and the curiosity to discover new workshop and co-creation techniques in a supportive and collaborative environment.
