jessie marcella

Jessie Marcella

Music Leeds, Launchpad (Yorkshire and the Humber)

Melancholic and deeply emotive, Jessie Marcella creates spell binding compositions born from a passion for neo-classical music and a longstanding love for electronic dance music. Classically trained in clarinet, Leeds-based Jessie uses both live and electronic instrumentation within her production, using her experience engineering along-side Ken Scott and recording the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra to cleverly manipulate sounds and continue to push sonic boundaries. Jessie's latest release is out on Anjunadeep’s Reflections. Her captivating sound has drawn admirers from BBC Radio 1, 6 Music and Introducing, earlier this year she had her debut festival appearance, DJing at Radio 1s Big Weekend.

Nazzy Dineo - Success

Sound Connections, Wired4Music (London)

Nazzy Dinero is an 18 year old self taught producer from London. At eight, he taught himself how to play drums which lead to him being a drummer on Sundays at church. During secondary school he saved his dinner money to purchase a laptop which began his journey as a producer. He learned as much as he could from tutorials, mentors and programs such as Wired4Music.  He solidified his formal education at music college and has recently completed a Music Production course with Distinction. His future aspirations include a publishing deal with Sony or Universal, and the opportunity to work with industry professionals.

sump collective

SUMP Collective - Felt

Inspire Youth Arts, BeiNG Music (East Midlands)

To enhance the collaborative process, SUMP Collective used Soundtrap online music production software enabling input from everyone to record, programme and edit. This meant that work could be completed whenever and wherever they could find time and space to work. The collective produced short sections of music that were arranged, edited, developed, or discarded as the dance piece progressed with dancers and musicians feeding off each other's creativity to make a cohesive synthesis of sound and movement exploring themes such as lockdown and the range of emotions people felt during that time.
