About Charanga
Over 2.5 million young people enjoy Charanga-supported music lessons every week. The Brighton-based technology company gives teachers all the resources, training and everyday support they need to teach music brilliantly. Their award-winning music education programmes include Musical School, the curriculum of choice for 56% of primary schools in England, and VIP Studio Sessions, with its online recording studio used by young people to create, produce and release their own music. Everyone should enjoy every minute of their music education. Charanga wants to help them develop a lifelong love of music.

Jake Wincott (Priv) is a 22-year-old dual heritage producer and sound engineer f rom Leicester. After leaving college he lost his direction for a while due to poor mental health. He eventually joined the Youth Music funded project #MIC and now works f reelance at HQ Recording Studio alongside running his own business Priv Audio. Whilst working at HQ, Priv has worked on music that has been used in Adidas and Pepsi Max campaigns and is now well regarded as one of the best producers and sound and mix engineers in Leicester. The tracks are heavily inspired by the artist Pop Smoke, with contributing elements of Latin and South American influences. Pop Smoke is currently unreleased, check out some of Priv's other work on Spotify.

At 19-years-old, James (DJ N3KO), has been producing music for over three years. Music helps him to express himself, and he makes music that varies depending on how he feels in the moment. Bridges was inspired by difficult life events for James in 2020.

Emily Makis – Confused
Offshoots CIC (East Midlands)
Songwriter and producer Emily Makis is a self-confessed ‘studio gremlin’. The last year Emily has written emotive vocal lines for the freshest talent in electronic music, amassing support from BBC Radio 1, BBC Radio 1Xtra and Liquicity. Emily is a passionate speaker on female empowerment and mental health within the music industry. She has been involved with projects including working with BBC Radio Nottingham’s ‘Music as Medicine’, the ‘Generation W’ book launch, and the award-winning ‘Circle of Light’ project.
